AoP...

If the plant never bears any fruit (Dragon Fruit) it is known as a Night Blooming Cereus.

Some earlier posts of mine on this thread have better views of our plant in full bloom

and so as not to repost them here are two I didn't post. They're a beautiful & complex

flower at night and the scent is very pleasant and not pungent...hard to describe but

it's really nice. And by the time the sun rises above the mountains to our east they've

died off & wilted. Our Cereus plant used to give only a single flower every few years

when we lived on Phuket but as we're now in Ranong we have massive blooms of

perhaps 30 to 50 flowers...like us...the plant must like it here!

Good place to start.

What kind of flower is this?

It looks like a "Zingiber officinale" to me...or more commonly wild ginger.

Some of these are edible, some are not. Google is your friend! The

flowers do not last a long time if cut....enjoy it in the wild. Nice pic!

I would like to thank all those on TVF who have given their personal best images , and a few stray ones as well !

I will continue as much as I have to be a part of this Family that we have , thank you .
