sunshine51 Posted July 7, 2014 Share Posted July 7, 2014 AoP... If the plant never bears any fruit (Dragon Fruit) it is known as a Night Blooming Cereus. Some earlier posts of mine on this thread have better views of our plant in full bloom and so as not to repost them here are two I didn't post. They're a beautiful & complex flower at night and the scent is very pleasant and not pungent...hard to describe but it's really nice. And by the time the sun rises above the mountains to our east they've died off & wilted. Our Cereus plant used to give only a single flower every few years when we lived on Phuket but as we're now in Ranong we have massive blooms of perhaps 30 to 50 flowers...like us...the plant must like it here! Some of these are edible, some are not. Google is your friend! The flowers do not last a long time if cut....enjoy it in the wild. Nice pic!
