Pattaya crime crackdown takes to the seas

PATTAYA:In a joint operation involving Pattaya Police, Marine Police, Tourist Police and Chonburi Provncial Police, Police Major General Katcha, the Provincial Police Commander took to the seas to check pleasure boats moored close to an Island off the coast of Pattaya which he was told were full of illegal immigrants and possible drug users.

The operation took place on Wednesday afternoon and saw a total of 9 boats checked off the coast of Sak Island, approximately 4kms from the coast of Pattaya. Officers were sure that someone had tipped-off the boat captains about the impending arrival of Police as many of the boats were deserted.
