Open Market Under A E C May Open Door To Disease And Waste: Thai Experts

Featured Replies

I begin wonder, which parallel universe these experts are pooping out of into our world?

It's all in their minds, reality doesn't exist for these creatures.

if you say that a problem that is worrying someone is all in their mind, you mean that they have imagined the problem and that it does not really exist

"He said the Kingdom already produced 700,000 tonnes of hazardous waste per year and countries that have stricter laws might smuggle such waste to less strict countries such as Thailand.

"Isaan Volunteers" will teach them how to burn hazardous waste as Isaan villagers already do in Thailand. Also keeps them warm in the cold season. Politicians will let some "special waste" in for their wasted time."

The rising number of tourists might also lead to more waste and water pollution, especially since Thailand is only able to dispose of about 36 per cent of its garbage properly and 20 per cent of its wastewater, he added.

" We need the waste and water polluting tourists to hold our "image of this country up." About 36% will drop to 0.02 % in three months."

He added that the Bt300 wage would push manufacturers towards technology-based industries, helping Thai workers to improve their skills, as foreign investors running heavy industries would possibly move to countries with lower costs."

"We've never heard of Europe's problems, as we're so far away and they speak different languages and eat bread for breakfast."

"However, if these heavy industries move to a neighbouring country, such proximity could still affect the Thai environment and health, so the government should focus on the reinforcement of law," he added."

Or enforce the existing law?--What a weird wake up story.........w00t.gif

In general terms this is the sort of ( analysis sorry, forget that word, not going to happen) comment you can expect when people with no capability and no real experience buy high level positions and/or gain high level positions through nepotism etc.

Until Thailand changes all of this we make very little progress and run the serious risk that other surrounding countries are ahead.

Here are the things the Thais should really be worried about:

Foreign workers who will work for less than the minimum

Foreign workers who will put in a hard day's work

Foreign workers who have better skills

Foreign workers with a better education

Foreign workers with better language skills

Foreign companies who will invest in machinery

Foreign companies who will automate

Not a complete list but much more comprehensive than the xenophobic 'experts'

Yeah Yeah, just wait until the Burmese start going back home for jobs and just wait and see what Thailand is going to say

Something like, "Hey, Rohinga, you want job 200 baht a day?"

This will be combined with hazardous waste caused by cheap and substandard goods that are imported to Thailand

Which will also be combined with the hazardous waste caused by cheap and substandard goods that are produced in Thailand.

It makes you wonder if these people are talking about some other Thailand, a land of zero pollution, no waste, spotless beaches and sea, and rivers filled with crystal clear waters.

I couldn`t beleive this but opened up the topic to get a laugh, didn`t need to read to many for that
