The wife has had email from UK Embassy asking for more information, mainly from me about earnings and employment. They have the SA302 from HMRC saying I paid tax on earning of £44k last year for God's sake, why do they wage slips and bank statements as well but I will deal with that.

They have asked her 2 questions.

1. You have submitted your University of Cambridge English language test result certificate; however you have not provided the other certificates with the breakdown to show the individual test scores.

2.Please also submit evidence of contact between you and your sponsor as well as confirmation from him that he supports your application.

I told her to go back to the test centre and get her results but she can't remember where she went. All I can remember is going on the MRT from Asoke northbound a few stops then the centre was in large complex a few hundred metres off to the east when we came out of the MRT station. Don't even know what road that is but it is the one running north from Sukhumvit up past Ratchada.

The was a shopping mall near the MRT station because I went there while she took the test. Ring any bells. There was quite a friendly American running the place.

The other thing is what sort of evidense are they looking for that I support her application.

I sent letter of introduction. We communicate daily on Skype, telephone and text. Plenty of bank deposits.Any ideas what they are looking for over and above that.

Is shit loads of money going out of my account into hers not enough?

I am amazed that neither you nor your wife can remember where she took her test!

However, this post from November 2011 says

Just to clarify, the list of test providers in Thailand changed from 18th July and we currently have the following test centres in Thailand:

PEARSON Pearson Professional Center Bangkok Business Building Level 10, Unit 10-10 54, Thanon Sukhumvit Soi 21, Bangkok Thailand, 10110

TOEIC Center for Professional Assessment - Bangkok Suite 1907, Bangkok Business Building 54 Asoke Road, Sukhumvit 21 Bangkok 10110 Thailand +66 (0) 2260 7061 +66 (0) 22664 3122 Center for Professional Assessment - Chiang Mai Nawarat Building 3rd Floor Kaeo Nawarat Soi 3 Amphur Muang Chiangmai 50000 Thailand

BULATS Vantage Siam Co. Ltd. 65/213 Chamnan Phenjati Building, 25th Floor, Rama 9 Road, Huay Kwang, Bangkok. 10310

Remember that the test must have been taken with an approved provider. I am surprised that such would not know what paperwork is required.

The new financial rules leave absolutely no flexibility for the ECOs; the rules say that certain documents are required, so the ECOs must insist on seeing them. Parliament set these rules, so complain to you MP and submit a response to the Parliamentary review. This must be done by 31/1/13.

Did your sponsor's letter outline the history of your relationship?

Did you submit a copy of your passport showing how many times you have visited her in Thailand?

Did you say in your sponsor's letter that you communicate mainly by skype and did you also include phone records showing when and how often you phoned and texted her? Even if your phone bill only shows a low cost access number, as long as you explain that this is what you use to phone her that is acceptable.

Transfers of money is not proof of a relationship; the money could be for anything. You imply that you did not include your bank statements in the application; if you didn't, how does the ECO know where this money came from?

Also, large deposits into an applicant's bank can be treated as suspicious by the ECO unless they are explained. Did you explain that it is you sending her the money and why you do so in your sponsor's letter?

This one sounds familiar. Does the location fit my discription. I thought Huay Kwang was up near Chatuchack. But then I thought Rama 9 was down by Hua Lumpong. Can't find a decent map of Bangkok at the moment. But Vantage rings a bell and the guys name Kevin same as me.

I edited my post to include a list of approved providers obtained from the embassy in Novemeber 2011, and as you can see Vantage Siam are on that list.

Though they seem to have moved to a new floor.

I have given them everything that they require. They are now asking for window dressing.

Yes

Yes

No but didn't realise this was required from me not her. UK mobile phone suppliers don't supply bills unless requested before hand so I can't provide that.

I did supply all bank statements. 4 different banks over a period of a year

This is all very well but UK law says I must exceed the minimum requirement on earnings. This is done by the SA302. What extra do wage slips, bank statements, P60, contract of employment, letter from employer do. Requirment is £22,400 I think. SA302 shows I earn a shade under £44k

The SA302 show all income. One documents show what everything else does but they have it all anyway.

Well I am surprised she can't remember but not sure why I should be expected to. Why have a dog and bark yourself. If you came to London and had only a vague understanding of the layout and went somewhere on the underground would you know where you had been 6 months later. I seem to recall that it wasn't on the 2nd floor though but the name certainly rings a bell. Given somebody is supposed to be helping her they are doing a pretty poor job.
