anon210
Christmas tree in front of Central World. Ok, just to boast off a bit, it was taken with a phone, the Lumia 1020. I will provide below the pic taken with my canon D40 for comparison. To be honest, I did not manage to upload the full resolution image for the Nokia, so this might be a bit unfair to the phone. The most annoying part: no Thaivisa app anymore!

Rob8891
I'm having a headache uploading from Flickr to Thaivisa. I PMd Tywais, who kindly sent me this reply... I suspect when you were using the URL of the photo it was actually the page URL the photo was on which is not an image link such as .jpg. Probably looked like the below which is the problem some members have had. http://www.flickr.com/photos/105272568@N06/11891382016/ Should look like this: http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2839/11891382016_74b18f772e_c.jpg Now I don't want to trouble him again (these Admin types are very busy people, and all that!)..............but when I "GRAB THE LINK" in Flickr, all I get is the first (wrong) format ie http://www.flickr.com/photos/7248825@N02/11963679145/ What have I missed?? Any help would be much appreciated

rhythmworx
<script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script> Some more ... Mae Fah Luang University 'walking street', Chiang Rai, last night. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Some great shots on this thread by all. I haven't bothered using any likes on this thread, I just wanted to browse, but I felt I had to pull this one particular photo up. For me this is one of them shots in time that was took at the exact optimal split second that would have never been captured the same just a few hundreds/thousands of a second later. Forget sharpness, pixel peeping or whatever device or lens it was took with. When a photo captures your eye and makes you observe it for a long time and then go back to it and have a 2nd and also a 3rd look, that's when you know it's a winner. For me this photo is 'pure gold' and I congratulate you on capturing it. I would also like to know the story behind it. Excellent.
