Popular Post fimgirl
I looked through the forum but couldn't see a thread for portraits. Hope you don't mind me starting one. I like to shoot portraits of people in their normal environment. Anyway, here goes:- The local shopkeeper Monks Just back from the salon (daily environment!)

Familyonthemove
Those are excellent black & white character portraits. Really sharp where it counts, nice tight depth of field to blur the background.

FracturedRabbit
Superb images fimgirl! This one was at a Cosplay convention. The colours were a bit distracting in the background so I converted to B&W, but left the colour in the eyes as he had bothered to insert different coloured contact lenses! I understand completely. The reason I sold all my stuff is that the computer made it seem unnecessary. Still you are using film, and that is rare enough these days. samuijimmy
Just converted this to Black and White... This is the original... I cannot make up my mind which I prefer!
ETatBKK
although the b&w tones down the background a bit, for a non-Thai who doesn't understand the culture, the colour photo communicated the white powder on face explicitly. the black and white didn't. for example on the b&w, the white powder on the left side of the face, may mistaken as a highlight blur.
