Had to pull the plug and restart.

I'll just look at Tuky's red cross for now and use my imagination.

Gazza got caught in a spin cycle. Right click on the taskbar on the bottom of the monitor screen and click on Windows Taskbar Manager. I always keep this running when I am online. If I get directed to a website which won't allow me to GoBack or which requires that I click on some sort of tab, I use WindowsTask Manger to End Task that http: website address .

Thanks for that Aughie, but the site went to full screen so I couldn't see the anything of the browser/task bar.

Any other tricks to try?

If full screen then hit keys Cntrl+Alt+Delete a new screen image will come up with Windows Security box. Task Manager will be one of your options.

There is a message which says, " Use the Task Manager to close and Application that is not responding."

I forgot to ask if you are running XP. But I believe it is the same for Win2000.

Or press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC to get the Task Manager.

Or if a window goes full screen on you and you can't see the taskbar, press the Windows Start key and "M" together to get back to the desktop.
