Yesterday at 8pm, police announced the arrest of a man and a woman who were suspected of robbing the house of a former Supreme Court judge.

Police busted 56-year-old Sophon Pansak and 53-year-old Yupha Trudtrakul at the pair’s home in Kanchanaburi Province. Police said that Sophon and Yupha had served as maids at the house of Chongsup Thiangtham on Soi Charansanitwong 37 in the Bangkok Noi District, beginning in 2009.

There you go - crime doesn't pay. Well, it does obviously for the judge, but you know what I mean.

But what a pair of plonkers picking on a Supreme Court judge and the brother of former aTransportation Minister to boot !

Redistribution of wealth - Thai style.

A reminder to those that think they can live out their lives safely in Thailand.

Theft from the elderly is common everywhere. I think in the USA AARP had a report that highlighted how widespread and serious theft was. Unless an older person has an "advocate" to watch over, him/her there is a high likelihood of abuse and exploitation. Sadly, a large number of culprits are family members.

How would a supreme court judge have figured this one out so many years after the fact? I wonder what the real story is because I don't buy this one.

Preposterous story!
