That's 80 people in 120 minutes. I presume they stopped because the cells were full. I notice they set up the checkpoint near a school. It would be interesting to know the age range of those nicked. Also, if they nicked 80 in two hours it would be interesting to know how many were clean - not many by the sounds of it.

Yeah, thats a lot for such a short time. But at other check points, they only get a couple, so why the big difference? Cant believe all the druggies just use this street.

the darkside is the place were all the criminals live, no surprize they caught so many addicts..

Drug use must have increased massively overnight then, since they do regular checks there and they hardly catch anyone those other times.

Maybe results are required these days.

Please provide a reputable source to back-up the above claim! Or did you just pull this statement out of fresh air??

Your claim, IMHO is as vague and substanceless as the once again p*ss poor Pattaya news reporting; i.e. the headline states, "drug users", the following write-up states, "drug addicts", and then finally they are described as, "suspects"!

Whilst I'm on the subject of news reporting (and slightly off topic, sorry), this particular reporting outlet ALWAYS states, "to prosecute further according to the law" at the end of each write-up that covers a foreigner, but when it's a local being covered it VIRTUALLY ALWAYS gets toned down, preumably not wanting anyone to lose face.
