bobroper
Just a quick one. I am currently on a multi non immigrant O visa which ends in May. Can I go to say Penang and obtain a tourist visa and how long does that last? If I can do this, will I have any problem transferring from a tourist visa on expiry to a non-imm O visa? I intend to travel to the UK later this year and obtain another multi non imm O in Hull.
beano2274
Can I ask a Multiple O based on what?
lopburi3
As asked on what basis? If you can obtain in Hull why not here (at least a single entry)? 90 days will cost less using a non immigrant O visa even if single entry.
ubonjoe
On what basis do you have the non-o. If for marriage to a Thai or over 50 you could get a single entry non-o instead of the tourist visa. The tourist visa would give a 60 day entry that could be extended for 30 days at immigration for a fee of 1900 baht. A single entry non-o would be 900 baht cheaper than the tourist visa with the extension. Edit: You could make a final border run just before your O visa expires and get another 90 day entry. lopburi3
You should be able to get at least a single entry non immigrant O and KL will issue multi entry with proof of 100k in bank account. Savannakhet will issue even without if you do not have other reasons for using Hull.
beano2274
Marriage and, I have all the necessary paperwork., So why go back to the UK, get it done here in Thailand with a Multi Re-Entry permit, cost 1900 for 1 year, and 3800 for re-entry permit. ubonjoe
You could get a new multiple entry in KL, Penang (100K baht in bank needed) or Savannakhet Laos with no financial proof needed.

Thailand Bound
I recently read a thread on the other Thailand forum talking about how Huil has cracked down on the issuance of visa's after someone bragged online on a forum how easy the visa's where to get from Hull, it seems they are turning down quite few now. I also read one where the guy was wanting to vist his daughter, they were making him jump through hoops and he finally submitted a her birth certificate and they refused that as well, they need to know if he was a guardian or not. It seemed like a horror story.

HuLL - Additional Evidence for Non-Immigrant Visas 31.08.12.pdf True but the min. monthly income (£1200) is less then the Thai immigration eq of 65.000 THB In todays rate £20.000 lumpsum would be +/- THB 930.000, but the £1200 would be +/- THB 56.000. poohy
Hi just received a multi non o visa from Penang last week on showing passbook with 1 000 000k and letter from Bangkok Bank confirming it was in 4 month revolving deposit account. no questions were asked. I used to work here for the last 10 years with many non b visa but now I am sort of semi retired just live here with my girlfriend and the non O visa is convenient for when i have to travel for both business and pleasure.
