Thai Police To Watch Out For Luring Cases During Valentine's Day

Featured Replies

How about the tourism board luring the impressionable to amazing thailand with its 'unspoilt beauty' only to turn up and get poisoned, knifed, robbed, abused, molested, mistreated, extorted, misled, misrepresented, lied to, stole from, ripped off, coughed on, over-charged, under-nourished, mismanaged & what not....all in 2 weeks...(or before leaving the airport if you're really fortunate)?

beatdeadhorse.gif Yeah. Its a wonder poor, poor you are still even alive.rolleyes.gif Since Thailand is considered to be a relatively safe destination tourist boards elsewhere must be positively evil. As a matter of fact they should probably prohibit all tourist advertisement everywhere.angry.png Please do not think that I am saying that your post is ridiculous.cheesy.gif

Actually from what I see and hear, on most countries traveling websites, they talk about being wary of taxi's, tuk-tuks, gem buying, etc. in Thailand.

Stay away from Nana district.

Difference there is that everyday is Valentine's Day for some. wink.png

Is being 'lured' the same as being 'groomed?'

I suggest that no money changes hands during this period so that everyone knows that it is just true love....I hope the bar girls agree with me.

The same announcement every year.

And they still haven't figured out that it also happens on the other 364 days too.

You missed the point. On Valentine's day there's a much higher incidence of illegal sexual luring.

No, I didn't miss the point at all.

Every Christmas, every Buddha day, every Songkran, every Loy Kratong, every New Year, ours theirs and the Chinese one, every single celebration is treated the same.

I'll do it in Basic.

10 Make an announcement.

20 Put a tick in a box.

30 Wait 12 months.

40 Go to 10.

No your lured then groomed and then fleeced.
