First Working Day New Employee

Anecdotal information is usually of little worth, as is mine here, I agree. But it can be illustrative.

I only employ domestic help - and part time at that, not in residence. However, for three years - and from the outset - they have never missed a day except by prior planning for holidays or medical reasons (rare, with perfect communication). The holidays in question are the usual, as found on calendars.

Difference? Recommendations. Goes to the idea of employment agencies of sound reputations, I suppose, but also may demonstrate that we live in an evolving society, no surprise. How Thais are supposed to come equipped with a Westernized "Puritan Ethic" is beyond me!

And anyway, being the industrial and business employers' equivalent of cannon fodder, rather than family-knit or self-involved as a higher priority, might represent a better life for all I know.
