Some guys were digging a foundation for a small house when they discovered this object:

They dug a little deeper and more carefully and unearthed the rest:

It now resides in our house adorned with flowers and doused with powder and scented water:

Can anyone tell me more about the pot? How old is it? What was it used for before? Or any other information . . .

I'm very curious about it.

Looks like a jar for fermenting fish to the wife. They make now so don't believe anyone but an expert can date it.

I agree with lop3... looks like the three jars we have at the back of the house with the plah rah/dairk in... but I'm sure the design hasn't changed for many years.. only an expert could tell... !
