About 10 years ago i paid for a house and land for the wife and i to live in near her home village,i let her take care of all the transactions as i have 100% trust in her,over the next few years we altered the house to the way we wanted it,landscaped the garden to the rear and front of the house and created fruit orchards over the remaining land,in the back garden we had a 3 floor sum/sala built and plunge pools dug to escape the heat,it was all looking good.

During a visit back to the uk the wife got a message from her mom about some dispute over a part of the land,i was not too happy but the wife assured me all the papers were correct,anyway when we got back it wasnt all ok and the bit of the land with the sum/sala and plunge pools were not included on the chanote,the family who sold us the land were not aware of this and it only came about because of someone else surveying land to the rear,

So after about a year my neighbour has had a new chanote drawn up in the wifes name and all he wanted was the transfer fee off us!which was not a lot.
