Does anyone know of a hardware store within walking distance of the Old City / Huay Kaew Road / Nimmanhaemin areas that sells small hand tools (pliers, assorted screwdrivers, etc.)?

A lot of second rate Chinese imports at Amorn, connected to Icon computer plaza. Not the best quality but does the job ( at lease once or twice...) otherwise, walk a bit further west and stop at Nana screws. ( inside the moat at the north gate)

Probably the biggest range of general hand tools in CM, is at Nana Screw, turn off the moat onto Assithidon Rd and its on the left about 100-130M up.They also have a new shop next to the North Gate Jazz Club/Bar but not as big a range as at the main store

Both Central and Robinsons have a selection. And I see shops along the north moat that all kinds of tools so I would expect you could find some there, also.
