(Small) Fire At Big C Extra, 1St Floor

According to a Thai friend of mine, there seems to have been a fire, already extinguished, on the 1st floor of Big C Extra on the 1st floor. Barricades prevent access to shops there. Big C proper on the 2nd floor unaffected. This is at 12:31 PM.

I have no details--no doubt they'll be forthcoming--just thought I'd inform those who may have planned to shop on the 1st floor.

Only guessing, but I presume if there's access to "Big C proper on the 2nd floor" that's an American English "1st floor" and a British English "ground floor" (the Food Court level).

No, "2nd floor" is American English for 2nd floor and "1st floor" is American English for 1st floor. The mall has only 2 floors, excluding the parking level, so the meaning is perfectly clear. Take your pick of expressions--we want you to be very, very comfortable.
