Pregnancy Visa Samui

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am German, not married and my boyfriend is working on Samui. I am almost 8 month pregnant and my non B visa will expire beginning of March. I heard that you can get a letter from your doctor, saying that you are pregnant and you will then get an 90 day extension at immigration. After birth you can get another 90 days extension when presenting a doctors letter. Anyone has experience with this, especially at immigration in Samui? Does the 90 day extension cost anything? Please let me know, Becky

You can get an extension of stay based on medical reasons (not being able to travel due to pregnancy) for a maximum of 90 days at a time. Do take a doctors letter with you. The cost is 1,900 baht and you will also need a pass photo.

Not sure if you will get an extra 90 days after delivery.

Be sure the doctor says that you won't be able to travel until XX/XX/2013. If the letter doesn't include that specific restriction on travel, they may not grant you the full 90 days days.
