emanphoto Posted February 16, 2013 Share Posted February 16, 2013 Wife and I are taking a short trip to Yangon and I'm wondering where are the best exchange rates folks have found when arriving. The tour group has arranged a Burmese guide to exchange our THB but my wife said it wasn't a good rate. tombkk Posted February 16, 2013 Share Posted February 16, 2013 I have always exchanged my THB into USD at BKK airport before flying to Myanmar (make sure you get crispy new bills). In Myanmar, I have used the USD, on occasions getting change in local currency. I don't recommend taking THB to Myanmar, unless things have changed very recently.
