girlx
siam romance you are on an adventure, think of it that way. everything is new right? take pictures of things you find beautiful and weird about the new place you are in. meet people who can teach you something different from the people at home in thailand. try new good food and pick a favorite. listen to new music and watch people dance. thailand isn't going anywhere, and if you get home without doing those things in your life you will just be bored and boring. think of the good things about thailand and think of the good things in the country you are in now. and enjoy! Sorry, Glauka dear, I couldn't resist!! Tipp, I hardly think that was necessary. I didn't admit that I had an ex-wife, nor you about your past relationships. Please keep personal jabs and snipes in emails not, on the board. I don't think anyone cares whether she's broken up with a Thai or a Farang, or whether she's having relationship problems. sbk
well mandych, as you have already started an entire topic about this subject may I suggest not hijacking this one with your search? You are free to post about yourself, but refrain from bringing up your need for a new boyfriend in every topic, thanks. Personally, I think you'd be much better off getting off the computer and going out to meet new people than asking people here to find you a boyfriend, but that is just my opinion. leo53
My first posting... Falang married to a falang who is divorced from a Thai, now living in the US. We have four adult children, ages 32 (adopted Thai daughter, actually his ex-wife's neice), son 28 and daughter 25 (Thai-American), son 23, and a grandaughter (1/4 Thai). My step-son married the daughter of long-time Thai family friends in a Buddhist ceremony last November 2005. We are finalizing her US residency status following the civil ceremony here. Stephen and I just married in February 2006 and considered the trip to Thailand a pre-honeymoon. As teenagers, we were first loves but parted in 1970 due to university, Vietnam, low draft lottery numbers, immaturity and life in general, etc. I went to the UK, he joined the Army and went to Thailand, and we both married others. Never having forgotten him, I found the courage to contact him last year, only to learn that he was available -- we were married within months. Don't you love what happens when you put together a Thai-Scot-Irish-English-German-Jewish-American family...you can understand why people are puzzled when they see us all together! Our long-term plan is retirement with 3-4 months per year spent in Thailand.
LaoPo
Welcome to Thaivisa Leo53! I must admit it took me a while to put the whole family in the right order...and still not sure if I understood completely; I suppose it needs some study... Welcome anyway from a male member in the Ladies forum. BTW...is Leo a female name in the US? Oooohhhh....I fully agree with you:...."you can understand why people are puzzled when they see us all together!" ladyexpat01
I'm a female expat (Canadian), currently working in Korea. I've been in Asia for 5+ years and travel to Thailand regularly. My goal is to end up in Thailand within the next couple of years. I'll probably have to work at something, so am interested in hearing other female success stories on moving to the LOS.
