Can Someone Suggest A Good Gastroenterologist?

Featured Replies

Subject says it all - I would really appreciate it!

This is the guy I like:

Piset Pisetpongsa, M.D. at Sriphat. I believe he is/was Associate Professor. Younger guy; late 30's-early 40's and much more on top of new treatment/technology than some of the older doctors. Speaks fluent English.

Dr. Morgan has recommended Dr. Jeerasak in the past who practices at McCormick, Rajavej and Ram. I would trust anyone she recommends as being good.

How much is it?

In Deecember I had an endoscopy in RAM. Great !

  • Endoscopist: Dr. Jaruwat Yos..... 8.000 THB gastroenterologist too
  • Anesthesiologist: Dr. Apirom Pet.... 2.000 THB
  • RAM-Hospital 8.126 THB

Price depends on (removed) polyps. Me: 0

Tell us puck2 how great it was ? For 16k i sincerely hope they didnt then suggest a change in diet

otherwise no sympathy

I don't understand the RAM=8,126 THB charge. That was for an hour in theGI lab?

I had one in ram in Jan...I was quoted 18k but it came to 15k...My price included polyp removal and analysis which I had two so that would cast doubt about how many stated earlier...

I was worried going in re: quality, equipment, service, competency, IC, analysis, etc

But came away surprised and impressed. Would recommend this procedure/this physician at Ram...

Looking forward to my next one....

As to the gentlemen who asked about the RAM charge...

Well and I don't have a problem with it....It is called the cost of running a hospital (security, PM, bio-med, nursing staff, utilities, procedure/recovery rooms, insurance, QA/RM/IC, other staff members, committee lunches, MRs, reception, lab/path results, office materials, IT, new construction, JCAHO and other credentialling costs, etc....

I really expected 20k plus for this procedure.....

Any questions?

Is it with general anesthesia? Total price 18.126 THB?

Do you know how much gastroscopy there?

@Radharani, yes, anesthesia is included: I don't know the price for a gastroscopy. Call RAM.
