Tai Chi In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of a class or instructor for Tai Chi in the Bangkok area?

I am interested in finding out more details, so any advice, PM's, links etc very much appreciated.

Lumpini Park every morning may be a starting point .

Did you Google this? Note here: www.chentaichithailand.com/

That teacher, a Brit, is one of the best in Asia.

PS If you simply go to Lumpini Park, you will be overwhelmed and very, very few of the groups practicing there speak English (but they are all very friendly).

There was (maybe still) an open tai chi group at Benjasiri Park (next to emporium at phrom phong BTS) that would meet around 6pm i think. There was one or two people who would lead it but it was open to anyone and people would come and go as they please, not too serious.

I did google and it came back with a bunch of results, got the wife searching for more info. The Chen one i wasn't sure on (always nervous of 'farang experts' in thailand) but if you say hes good I'll look him up and see if it works for us.

Thanks for the replies - if anyone else has any feedback or advice i would very much appreciate it.

I train with a baguazhang group in Lumpinee Park on Sunday mornings. The teacher is martially oriented and he knows taichi and xingyi too and brings those elements into the training. PM if interested

I practice Tai Chi with "the Chen one" :P, Mr Peter, he is a student of Master Liu Yong, who was a student of Grandmaster Chen Zhenglei of the Chen Style Tai Chi Village Centre in China. I started in February this year and as I am retired, I practice often :P and I made a remarkable progress.

Master Liu Yong, will visit us in December 2013, and you can attend his Master classes, they are close to the BTS .
