Police Checking YouTube Clips Of Thai Girl Beatings

r22.jpg

BANGKOK: -- Metropolitan police are investigating two YouTube video clips showing men beating Thai women. In one clip, a man is beating a tomboy female. The other clip shows 10 men beating two girls for a monetary reward. No victims have filed complaints, and police are still gathering evidence.

A video clip broadcasted on YouTube shows a man beating a girl in the Bukkalo area. The video was watched and shared by many people through the Internet. Now, another recently-posted video clip shows 10 men beating 2 girls because they wanted 20,000 baht cash. The footage shown on YouTube was reportedly obtained from the CCTV of Banmore plaza building.

The person who posted the video on YouTube used the name “Kickoff.” He said someone had offered 20,000 baht to anyone who beat the girls. So the girls were beaten to get the reward. The girl who got severely beaten is shown on the right of the clip, wearing a blue-and-white Scott printed shirt.

Police are investigating the YouTube videos to see if criminal acts have occurred, said a police spokesman. He was discussing the case on February 26 at the Command Center of the Metropolitan Police Bureau.

But the reasons for the beatings are unclear, said Pol. Maj. Gen. Parinya Jansuriya, vice commissioner of metropolitan police, who has the responsibility for the detective department. He added that police are also unsure of where the beatings occurred. The identity of the person posting the video is also unknown, and how involved he was in the actual beating.

Both videos are horrible... The first one in the OP is totally not fair and I'm amazed that hardly anyone tries to help her... If they only did it for the 20,000 baht then shame on them!

I don't suppose they are interested in investigating this video. No didn't think so. It's only a policeman beating up on two ladies.

Well it's not as if there's any evidence such as a clear view of the assailant or a car registration number. Lord Nelson would be proud

And you can be almost assured they will defiantly get

away with this insignificant discrepancy especially if he owns a Merc’ and is a yellow shirt.

IMHO who ever is supporting ( by watching) those kind of clips is almost same guilty as the culprits who has beaten the girls.just don't watch it: no demand- no supply

I have a different opinion, if you don't mind. As difficult as it is to watch for you, it will be also difficult for the masses to watch. It does have a better benefit; it curbs society, for the betterment of all. It's a long and needed process...in any country.... There's no guilt for the viewers...

Its like watching amoebas evolving in front of your very eyes.

To paraphrase the Thai National Anthem

"We are peace loving, but we are not cowards..."

Looks like a complete contradiction, between thought and action.

Men beat up women, and to fight one man we bring 5 mates with bats, would be more fitting, in my experience.

I wonder why the women did not report to the police after the attack. Perhaps, there is something more than the surface of this video.

Do get real. TIT. What are your expectations of any police action?

YouTube is so much better. Immortalised in digital forever.

Is the man in the second video really a policeman ? Is that fact from the Thai news?

If so I guess nothing will happen to him.... :-)

The first fight was strange with that fat woman throwing the first sucker punch. Looks like she was just waiting for the man to leave before throwing her punch. The rest of the fight looks like something off of a grammar school yard. Not very impressive bits of fighting for Thais who all think they are muay Thai experts.....
