When i was at the Dutch embassy a few years ago i noticed a small copy shop opposite the embassy entrance where the people could sort out all the papers and makes copy's / pictures etc.

As i have to renew my passport i have to make new passport size pictures according the Dutch standards.

I remember that they where able to make those pictures.

Is this shop still there?

I don't believe they make these pictures, they only make pictures for a visa.

What you can do is go to the Central (or is it a Robinson) near the entrance to Soi Thompson on the otherside of the street. You can enter it through the BTS.

In there go to the Power Buy, I believe at the fourth or fifth flour. At the photo counter there ask for passport pictures. They know the standards for passport pictures for several countries, including the Netherlands. Takes about 45 minutes to get them.

Thanks for that, I know that they where able to do this in the past as i did this a few times before.

As the embassy don't get the Thai visa applicants any more ( they use a visa processing center i believe ) i was afraid that the shop would be gone.

yes, the shop is still there and yes, they will produce passport pictures in accordance with the requirements for a Dutch passport application.

I went through the procedure back in November 2012. Photographs ready within 10 minutes.
