Recently flew into BKK from the States and never been to thailand on a visa...Now i have a double entry tourist visa and now staying in thailand...immigration and everything else was fine, but have a question about the visa/passport...the immigration officer stamped the date of arrival for me in thailand and stamped the exit date im suppose to leave in my passport as if i didnt have a visa im guessing...if i came here with my passport only and could only stay for 30 days...so he stamped my passport page with the date of arrival and 30 days out from there...but then he crossed that part out...and went to my visa and stamped the date of arrival which was the 1st of march...that was the only date he stamped on my visa...the question i ask is...is there only suppose to be one date on my visa now, and thats the arrival date ""correct""...or is there suppose to be a departure date on there also...but im guessing its up to me to count down the 60 days before i have to do a border run...

Looks like he boobed and initially stamped as if you have no visa, then partially corrected it. I would have expected him to write the 'permitted to stay until' date by hand (or cancelled the stamp and put a new one). You are not normally expected to work out for yourself how long you can remain!

If you are in BKK run down to immigration (or your local immi. department), they have a special counter for fixing airport c@ck-ups just to be safe.

As said if you do not have a permitted to stay stamp with a valid until date in your passport you need to correct this with immigration now. You are not expected to count down.
