Villagers say “No” to new LPG Station in North Pattaya

PATTAYA:--200 families from the Neunsai village in the far Northern Outskirts of Pattaya held a meeting on Sunday to discuss their next move to prevent the opening of a new LPG station on the Sukhumvit Road.

Since the construction of the new station began, opposition to it has been widespread within the local community and an independent survey of 300 families resulted in 90% of them opposing the planned opening.

Villagers fear that the vehicles who slow down to turn into the station and those leaving the station will cause road accidents as this is a particularly fast stretch of the Sukhumvit Road.

Good luck with stopping this from opening. I am sure that those who live in the housing estate next to The Floating Market wish that they could have stopped it from opening and making their property almost worthless but as often said here at TV, TIT

Unfortunately, even with the lack of zoning in Thailand, a gas station (LPG or fuel) on a main highway such as Sukumvit is hardly an inappropriate use of the location
