Anyone With Details On The Thai Retrofitted 747-400 ?

Featured Replies

I noted that Thai are introducing the retrofitted 747-400 on the LHR-BKK route from Mar 31 2013. I know that sometimes this ends up with large equipment boxes under seats which can make for an uncomfortable flight. Anyone flown them on other Thai routes ?

Thanks Tolsti. Doesn't look as bad as I've come across on some other airlines. thumbsup.gif

If it the case that the 747-400 is reintroduced to the Lhr-BKK route it'll be a disappointment.

Anyway, if it got good avod then won't be so bad.

No "if" about it.

" The aircrafts utilised for the London-Bangkok route are the Airbus A340-600.

From 31 March 2013 operations on the London-Bangkok route will be with our newly retrofitted Boeing 747-400."

20 less business class seats and 125 more economy in the new fitting compared to the A340, which I must admit I prefer.

If they did premium economy, I would go back to them from EVA.

Eva gone downhill since 2001 plus as everywhere priced climbed.

If try Thai newly fitted 747, I think the service is good.

BUT depends on price.

For me, Thai don't come into the reckoning any more unless they introduce premium economy or reduce the cost of business class by about 25%.
