March 12, 201313 yr Hello, Ive recently moved from Sukhomvit to Sathorn. In sukhomvit i spend about 17-20k baht per month for one person (hotel rate), It was a temporary soloution and im looking for something more reasonable. In huei Kwang i saw a laundry shop with i think it was 50 pieces/500 baht. In sathorn, only place ive seen so far was a small laundry outlet shop next to City Viva/Market Villa and looked like prices was on pair or even more expensive than my hotel prices in sukhomvit. So my question is, Is there really only theese two options? Either extremely cheap (50piece/500baht) which seems not available in expat/CBD areas or 50 baht for a pair of socks options available? Anyone got any suggestion for a specific laundry/dry cleaning shop in Sathorn area? Thanks
March 12, 201313 yr Hello vento Yes, we found the laundry in the City Viva too expensive. As we just moved to Sathorn, we found it very difficult to find a decent laundry. But two weeks ago we found "Dad Laundry" at the far end of Soi Sla Deng 1 (almost corner Rama 4), please check here their website: http://dadlaundry.com/ I also attached their price list that I picked up last week. The shop is very small in a garage entry, but they do a great job. We only use their THB 30.-- per Kilo service (towels and bedsheets 2 persons: last time 5,8 kilo for THB 173.--). And the (chinese?) lady speaks very good english. Hope this helps. Prin Edited March 12, 201313 yr by Prince17
March 12, 201313 yr Author Thanks Prince17, this location is excatly in between my home and my work... really appriciate it
April 18, 201313 yr Author I found also "top clean", just before city viva, is a gasoline station (blue signs) on same side etc etc. Drive into the gasoline station, and there is a shop called "top Clean". The times ive been there, there was 4-5 employees working and it seems like mostly thai clients, I only used for dry clean of trousers, 60 bath a piece. day to day service.
