Chao Lao Beach
Where can you get a helmet that is not a tuppawere salad bowl in Thailand please? Nothing to fancy, just for local scooter adventures to shop.

NomadJoe
Index, Avex and Real make decent helmets, and the Real's have met DOT standard in addition to TIS (Thai industrial standards). DOT, Snell, and ECE helmets are not legal in Thailand because they are not tested to TIS. For about 800B you can get a decent open face helmet from one of the above companies. I have an Avex Dragon II for the scooter and am very happy with it. Seems sturdy enough. Just wish I could take out the liner to clean it.
