PATTAYA:--Early on Tuesday Morning a suspected drug courier was caught with a substantial amount of class 1 drugs concealed in packets of potato chips.

A Police checkpoint had been set up in Soi Nong Hin on the East side of Pattaya and officers spotted a motorbike driver who appeared to be preparing to make a u-turn to avoid the checkpoint, so they went to investigate.

Initially a search of the driver, Khun Nattawut aged 19, came up with nothing but concealed in the seat compartment of his bike were four packets of Potato Chips which appeared to have been resealed. They were checked and class 1 drugs were found inside.

The suspect along with the drugs were taken to the Police Box in Soi Kao Ta Lo. 300 Yabba Tablets and 31.7g of Crystal Methamphetamine were found.
