chinthai
I have to go for a visarun next week. Somebody know the situation in Mae Sai/Burma with NON-O Visa? Any problems?

DeaconJohn
Fellows, what time is the best to book a bus as roundtrip? The Greenbus VIP service to Mae Sai is very good. The return trip to Chiang Mai leaves at 3:30PM and arrives between 7 and 8PM. Buy your tickets in advance and try to get the 1A seat with plenty of leg room in a single row on the left side. There are several places around town that sell the tickets, but I always go to the Arcade, terminal 2, which is where the bus leaves from. Happy trails. CMKiwi
I agree with getting a seat on the left. The morning sun can get pretty darn hot if you sit on the right. Stick to the left on the way back too. Afternoon sun is still quite warm although it will be night time when you get back into Chiang Mai
Jskero
Thanx alot everybody! Especially DeaconJohn, but what time to start from CHM is the best? In other words, how much time is needed to complete the quest, estimated. And about sun ... ...The morning sun can get pretty darn hot if you sit on the right... As i know they have no less darn AC in these buses, I don wanna get cold also ... any comments? Edited October 21, 2015 by Jskero
CMKiwi
When I use to do the tourist visa exempt runs to Mae Sai I grabbed a 740am bus (From memory ) To actually get across the border, do a bit of shopping and return to Thailand. Easily done in an hour but without shopping about 10 to 15 minutes.
