Igo8 Favorites And Poi

Featured Replies

I have a GPS (China made) with on a Flash card the software IGo8.

A few weeks ago, the card started to show bad tracks and I decided to replace it.

Luckely for me, I had a backup of the software and everything seemed to work fine.

But for same reason, "Favorites" and "POI" are not stored on the card.

When I try to store a GPS point as Favorite or POI it is accepted and it show on the display.

But when I turn the GPS "OFF", the new GPS points are not stored.

Is there a way to enter these points manually on the card trough my PC?

Something like an editor for POI for IGO8?

TIA

Have a look on your device for the folder "igo8/content/userdata/poi"

If it's not there create it and try storing your POI again.

I have a folder "POI" on the card.

And the "POI" can are also on the GPS.

But all the changes that I make to the POI or the Favorites are only stored as long as the GPS is "ON".

As soon as I switch it "OFF", the changes are lost.

I have IGO Primo running on Android.

Favourites are in the user.UPOI file located here:
IGO/save/profiles/01/user.UPOI
You can edit this file using UPOI Editor. Download here:
UPOI Editor can work directly on the SD card or via USB on the device itself.
Probably best to copy the existing user.UPOI file to the pc and edit it there.
When you open user.UPOI in UPOI Editor you will see that the user.UPOI file will have a subfolder called @Favourites
Click on @Favourites and any existing Favourites in IGO/Primo will be listed here
You can edit them or create new Favourites.
You can also import Favourites in the form of a google maps kml file and drag them into the @favourites folder.
(Right click the user.UPOI folder in UPOI Editor and select import)
