PATTAYA:--Early on Sunday Morning Police were called to a constructors camp-site in South Pattaya to investigate reports of an attempted sexual assault on a 32 year old woman.

Officers arrived and met with the victim Khun Yupin aged 32. The suspect, Mr. Maer aged 37 from Burma had already been detained by fellow workers at the camp-site.

Khun Yupin explained that she had just gone to sleep and was awoken by someone touching her intimately. Before she turned around she thought it was her Husband but he was still out drinking with friends. Also asleep in the room was her 23 year old Brother, Khun Tongchai who was temporarily partially sighted following an accident at the construction site. He heard the screams of her sister and was unable to help but he also shouted for help and within seconds the suspect was apprehended.
