Frankie26
How does the care and customer service at CM RAM Hospital compare to the care you would receive at major hospitals in Bangkok?
jaideeguy
Customer care and maintenance used to be 'world class', but it is declining over the years. But the Drs still seem to be the best collection town and it remains the most falang friendly.
LarryBird
Hot nurses. Used to look forward to spending time there.
hellodolly
Saw a specialist there two days ago. He said if I needed an operation he would recommend a doctor in Bangkok. I guess it is what you want done. The reason he would recommend the doctor in Bangkok was because they had better equipment. He did say for another type operation Chiang Mai had one of the best.

Sounds like CM RAM is reliable for routine medical procedures but for more complex, serious situations it's be best to visit Bangkok.
bangkok blue
I strongly advise that any diagnosis you get from Ram, you get confirmed by seeking a 2nd opinion elsewhere!

Actually the Doctor he was talking about operates out of the hospital across the street from the Holiday Inn. The one big thing I see about Ram is if you have to spend time there it is much more normal than most hospital rooms. Many of the Doctors there also operate out of the Shirapat at a cheaper rate but the same quality of workmanship. I can not how ever say there equipment would be as good as the Ram. The equipment in the Bangkok hospital is better than the Ram and that was why the one doctor had told me he would recommend Bangkok. Of course the price would be higher in Bangkok.
