Insect-Id?

Featured Replies

Can somebody help me with the ID of this beetle? The "feet" are very catchy, they can hold your skin in a certain way very well, without damaging by the way!

well, than nice to meet you.........................

My guess would be a Melolontha, family Scarabaeidae.

It does not appear to be John , Paul , George or Ringo .

Does it leave a silver dust behind ?

Ouch, you see I'm a zero with these things! Thanks mitmig! wai.gif I just found at least 25 in this genus............. So, it can be the (in)famous cockchafer or may bug, mitchamador, billy witch, spang beetle. (oh, wacht even: "Meikever")

(well, let's wait for more off-topic scilly answers! ermm.gif )

That means that I can be wrong with this ID: the larva

The site of the Siam Insect-Zoo and Museum could be useful for the ID of the larva. Good luck!
