I've been through the FCO website via the Bangkok Embassy website and ended up with the C1 application form and notes.

In the section dealing with 'Previous Passports' it asks if we are attaching it. As we are told to send a photocopy then should we answer 'Yes' and put a note in the 'Other Information' towards the end of the form?

I put 'No' last time and had no issues.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

I just put the information as I would if I was sending the passport. Then sent a copy instead.

I did exactly the same in my recent application, and can confirm that I still received my new passport OK notwithstanding.

A photocopy is not your previous passport..... it's a photocopy of it..... = no.
