Free application to download for iPhone and Android phones. http://www.thailandtaxicomplaint.com

Thailand Taxi Complaint is an application about taxi’s, buses and vans in Bangkok and the rest of Thailand. You can complain directly to the Department of Land Transport, as well as feel confident and safe when taking a taxi in Bangkok.

The application allows you to check in. That means you can automatically post to your Facebook Wall or Tweeter Feed the taxi you are in and the area you were picked up or going to. You can feel safe that if anything happens your friends know where you are and what taxi you are in.

The application has the following features:

  • Submit a complaint directly to the Department of Land Transport about taxi’s, buses, vans, and long distance coaches.
  • Check in to your Facebook or Twitter and let your friends know what taxi you are in and where. Useful when you want your friends to know what taxi you’re in just in case there is a problem.
  • Keep a record of the taxi in the event you forget your luggage or lost your valuables.
  • Rate the taxi that you’re in – whether they are good or bad.
  • View an interactive map showing the trends / areas with the best and worst taxis. Useful when you may be in an area where taxi passengers are often not accepted.
  • You can post your complaints on Twitter and Facebook.
  • Directly call the Department of Land Transport hotline phone number

At least it's a start to improve public transport, particularly taxi's and vans. smile.pnghttp://www.thailandtaxicomplaint.com

Wow, if they actually take effective action against the drivers - like suspending their ability to make a living - this will have a MAJOR impact on many people's lives.

Excellent step in the right direction, seems like a great use of the tech rather than the usual negative trends.

Of course, the proof's in the pudding, will have to wait and see how it all pans out where the rubber meets the road cheesy.gif

Yes, it's a start. Let's see if action is taken.

I guess the more complaints that are submitted the better it is to find out the bad drivers, compared to the ones that do a good job.
