Pattaya Police Officer arrested on drug dealing charges

PATTAYA:--A Police Officer stationed at Banglamung Police Station was arrested on Wednesday Morning following an undercover operation at a Motel owned by him which saw the arrest of a 16 year old suspected drug dealer.

Khun Wacharachai aged 16 was caught at the SR House Bungalows at the culmination of an undercover operation with 2 Yabba Tablets which he allegedly sold to an undercover officer. He told Police that he worked for the owner of the Bungalows, Police Senior Sergeant Major Samlan aged 53 who was only 2 days away from receiving a promotion to Police Sub-Lieutenant.

The Officer was already under surveillance after recently failing a drug test. Instead of disciplining the officer, it was decided to put him under surveillance and proceed with his promotion so he would not suspect anything.
