Hi guys, I'm hoping someone has experience with this and can answer my question

I have a Non O visa and my current entry stamp is valid until April 21. As it turns out, I need to take an Int'l trip on April 29th.

Instead of doing a visa run on the 21st, can I just overstay and pay the 2,000thb fee upon departure at the airport? Will this affect my current visa at all?

The fine is 500 baht per day so it will be 4,000 and taking the chance on being caught overstay. Once fine is paid it would not normally effect a valid visa.

I was under the impression it was 500 a day to a maximum of 2,000.

You dropped a zero - the max fine is 20,000 baht.

Dependent on where you are located a border run might be cheaper and certainly safer than an overstay.
