Anyone had any idea where could i get some cigar box or wooden box? It needs to be of wood material

one of my mates big day is arriving i thought it would be nice to craft one cigar box for him since he is into delta blues

I am reasonably sure if you did not find what uyou want there you would find some one to make it for you.

These things here are made of a Luan like ply. Solid woods (except hard expensive teaks) warp with the heat and humidity. I made a cool little UKE that would take the tension metal strings, that uses a gourd body, a teak neck and fret board and a headstock I pressume is a spanish mahagony.The top wood is a solid wood availibile at large stationery stores, a little soft but easy to work with... Still searching for a nice thin hardwood top, like mago or teak wood...

The round metal cookie cans are at most of the larger food shops and make a decent dobro stlye body. This design may be easier to build and find all the materials for...

Also when taken to a dryer climate tend to crack and should be oiled at least once a year.

Try a shop almost opposite the Burger King in Changlan Rd. They have some factory somewhere that make some nice wood boxes. Its in the Meridian hotel ground floor facing the street.

I'm not connected with them in any way but was amazed at the craftmanship of the wood boxes they have, jewellery box etc. maybe you can order something there?
