Plastic Bags, Rubber Bands And Etc...

Featured Replies

Not trying to be silly, but after living here 4-1/2 years now, I am curious what Thailand was like before the invention of plastic, plastic bags, rubber bands and styrefoam containers. It seems like Thai culture evolves around these items.

For example: How did they serve takeaway food?

Banana leaves and a few other types of large leaf. Secured by little wood "toothpick" splinter.

Takeaway soup a little tricky!

Bamboo? Are you serious?

You forgot to mention scotch tape.

I had my first experience with a plastic bag and rubber band 21 years ago in Mexico when I bought a coke to take away. It came with a straw.
