Samsung Laser Toner Refills - Where To Buy In Bkk

Featured Replies

Yes , another where to find post but can somebody recomend a good place to get a Samsung 4300 toner refill either a street based shop or a website . I have bought genuine before but they are overpriced (almost half the price of a new printer), and our kids use the printer as if they are printing money .I have found the refilled toners work just as well for well under half the price (in Oz) so i am willing to give a refilled toner a go here. We would perfer close to where we are located close to Sukhumvit Road but can get to Pantip , Seacom or further afield if necessary( or website) . Also would we need to exchange an empty toner in to swap as part of the deal.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I let toner refilled sometimes in Pantip, but it was too expensive and they didn't fill the full amount.

I recall that toner cost nothing back in Austria. My HP Laser used the same toner as copy machines and a 5 kg box of it cost almost nothing in the printer shop.

(I recalled that I asked the girl to check with the boss if the price is really true or if she made a mistake)

If you can buy the bulk toner, here are some tips.

If you can, refill the cartridge outside.

Avoid nicking the exposed drum in the cartridge, it will make spots on your print.

If possible, keep and use the "protective" piece for the "drum" (the exposed roller in the cartridge)

Get a funnel to direct the toner into the cartridge.

Make a fixture to hold the cartridge vertical, so you can use 2 hands to pour the toner.

Go slow, toner is a powder and is messy.

Tap the funnel to get the residual powder into the cartridge.

If you get toner on your hands or clothes, wash with soap and cold water only. Heat sets the toner.

Keep some cold wet paper towels handy for spills.

Store unused toner in a cool dry place.

Thanks Rakman and H90 , i was beginning to think i would have to buy the genuine item .

Just one thing, where do you buy the toner ink powder from to refill myself ?

whistling.gif At a guess I would say Fourtune Town in Bangkok at Ratchada.

Up on the 3rd floor there is a floor of IT related stuff, and I know there is at least one shop that specialises in Printers and Printer refills.

Think you can probably find refill canisters for most popular printers, but i , myself, have never used it.

May need to get the real thing however, so may seem expensive.

Especially if you have an old or out of date printer.

Just tell a taxi driver you want to go to "Four Choone" and they should know where you wnat to go

(Well, anyhow It usually works for me ..."Four Choone" Ratchada)

Thanks IMA, Was about to head to Pantip tomorrow and try my luck. Fortune is a bit further for me but i should try it too if Pantip serves me no good. Love the "Four Choone" name.!!

In Thailand they regard this model of printer / scanner as out of date altho it is only two years old. A phone is old after a few weeks and they turn up their little noses at them in MBK etc. .

They also have the genuine toners on InvadeIt too . Actully the genuine toner is not much more expensive than a refill in Oz . so i may even end up the genuine .
