I want to buy an entire salmon, up to 5 kilos or more. I don't want to pay 400 baht a kilo. I really don't know if it is possible to find a spot to buy a huge fish or two at much less than the market prices. If so, i'd love to hear it. If not, well, I am getting used to not being able to find things here anyway

I am not in Bangkok, but I purchase salmon on a regular basis. Usually Big C Extra and Makro have better prices when purchasing a whole salmon. They fillet it, wrap it, and the price usually runs under 300 baht a kilo. You will have to ask the price per kilo before purchasing the fish, as it is usually a lower price than posted.

I appreciate all replies, still looking to buy as cheap as I can. Would be willing to buy 1 or even 2 large fish to get a low price. But I understand this may just not exist at a much lower price than already mentioned.
