สู้ๆ In A Song

You might have already seen this song from Maggie Rosenberg:

Her use of the phrase สู้ๆ (soo soo) seems to be causing amusement among Thais commenting, like it's something quaint only a farang would say.

The full line in the song is: ขอบคุณสำหรับสู้ๆ มากๆ, which she translates as 'Thank you so much for supporting me'. What's wrong with that?

I wouldnt translate สู้ๆ support, this is usually heard at sporting events and means keep going, dont give up.

สู้ usually means a struggle or fight.

สนับสนุน is what I hear for support, many other ways of saying it.

I've heard สนับสนุน in the sense of support a good cause or support a political party. I think Maggie means it in the sense encouraging her, so ให้กำลังใจ would be good but doesn't fit into the song well. Her choice of sentence might fit into the song well but I don't think it's normal Thai. To a Thai it probably sounds something like 'Thanks for "come on!" me'.
