March 19, 200620 yr Many who don't know you, wouldn't have believed you were such a siren in real life girl. You have many admirers in the cyber world and have broken hearts with this thread. Go for what ever feels good. For you Old Croc! Nobody on this forum "knows" me but a few have met me in "real life". I am conservative and polite in public. And slightly nutty in between. Those who care to get to know me discover my "true" side - just like any woman- anywhere! We all have many facets to our personalities and choose to share each with who those click on the right buttons. I don't sit in my jungle palace 24/7 working and posting on TV (altho you may assume this is the case), I just happen to work on my computer alot and love to stay in touch with all you lot- my mates in the "other" world! I so value your opinions and so love to laugh with you all. Hope to meet many of you in the future! In the meantime, I'm staying SINGLE - woohoo!!!!!!!!! Aw, shucks, Khall. You're making us all blush. Not as much as Old Croc, though. Must be enough blood rushing to your cranium to turn you into a carrot top.

March 19, 200620 yr Go for the American. He sounds like a steady type. After a few months you can go to America, divorce him and take his house and car. Thomas Merton and Kayo seem to read my mind, I really do need a break away - island fever and all. I think I might stay single. Actually, lamphun has got a point... 1. Marry the american then divorce him, take his house car, money, and then... 2. marry the algerian, thereby providing him with green card et al. thereby... 3. gaining both you and the algerian "national security threat" status, making you a refugee, who leaves the algerian... 4. ... and goes on the run to south american where you can marry your latino.... 5.. On the way stopping by the maktub'ar in guatemala to have a zacapa. BTW, you can deliver my Chang here: which chang.....?????
March 19, 200620 yr I'm surprised that no one here has (publicly) proposed to the lass ! Little wonder she is feeling inclined to run off with people who aren't TV members
March 21, 200620 yr Author Geeeeeeeeeeez....... how quickly life changes in just a week! From one dilemma to the next!!! Forget the suitors and the fairy wings, I just lost my main job! The contractor has reneged on the contract... Oh, the woes of freelance life and independence, I try so hard to make it on my own here. I'm now in my jungle palace contemplating a return to the urban jungle of the western world. I don't want toooooooooo...... does anyone need the services of a seriously good editor and writer in Thailand? Edit: Kayo's plan has amusing merits

Did you think of mailing publishers of (travel) magazines around the world and pointing them to your 'knowledge' about Phuket and the rest of Thailand or Far East in general, and offer them your -free lance- skills. Maybe some would be interested and send you on a tour to write articles... Who knows? wish you good luck and....hang on! Edit: I just found a Google link with some 72.400.000 results... maybe you can find some publishers there; I really hope so for you! http://www.google.nl/search?hl=nl&q=travel...nes+world&meta= and this: http://main.travelwriters.com/tpu/about/in...CFUBoMAod0GQU6Q LaoPo Edited March 21, 200620 yr by LaoPo
March 21, 200620 yr Author Hellooooooo Uncle KanWin... do you need a beautiful secret agent in the south?
March 21, 200620 yr My Dear Knees, Beautiful, Yes, as you are. Secret, well you told all, so now no Secret. Agent, must ponder on that one. In the south, let me look elsewhere for you. BTW, mums the word on this one, so do not tell a living soul. Yours truly, Kan Win P.S. do ThaiVisaDotCom Members count as living souls ?

I have many freelance gigs here but the pay is low in Thailand and competition fierce in the international arena. Maybe I'm in the wrong game as many international publishers don'y pay too well either. Pardon the pun, but I (as well as most of Phuket) have ridden a rollercoaster wave of life in the post-tsunami economy. I stayed, I helped, I did my best! I do essentially have a buddhist philosophy on life and do accept the impermanency of each day. Looking forward to my next chapter and who knows - tomorrow may bring some great opportunities.....
March 21, 200620 yr I appreciate that you may already have made your decision, but I would just stick in my twopennyworth: don't compromise. If you feel you have a choice between men, then perhaps none of them is right for you. You will know when the right one comes along - you won't need to choose, the decision will be obvious. Many people I know have married/got together because it's better than being alone. Trust me - it isn't. I was married then divorced, and was happier alone than in a relationship just for the sake of it. Then Mrs Sadman came along, and I didn't have a choice at all - I just had to be with her. Don't sell yourself short - you deserve better.

I met a lady the other day and - in a totally unrelated conversation - she told me that she met her husband 'out-of-the-blue' and although she was quite happy being a single, professional female she was struck by their union "and ran away with him". That's a cool story. I need to keep waiting for that..............

Perhaps if you renounce him the strongest terms here on Thai visa it might save your home and livelihood?

March 28, 200620 yr Author I would suggest to go with the love of your life for 4 months a year and get a vibrator for the other 8 months And a webcam. I think you boys are wrong...the Algerian has turned out to be very gentlemanly, more so than any western guy I have ever met. Thus explains my absence a little- apart from my darling sis and my gorgeous niece turning up in LOS! I burn for more people like these in my life! My darling niece I hope some of u can meet.... but remember, she is 14!!!!

Thus explains my absence a little- apart from my darling sis and my gorgeous niece turning up in LOS! I burn for more people like these in my life! My darling niece I hope some of u can meet.... but remember, she is 14!!!! Living in a community with 85% non-Swedes (with middle eastern 1st and 2nd generation immigrats being the majority) for 12 years, I hope I'm qualified to write this... When it comes to courting many south-european and north-africans are way ahead of us scands or anglo saxons. Thay have a big tendency to swoop the ladies of their feet in their show of full affection and attention. The thing you must realise is that it never, ever, lasts pasts the initial courting (that presumable leads go a marrige). The 'hunt' and the 'keeping' is two very different things. For your sake, since you don't seem to know all that much about Algerians, make sure you meet his family. Learn more about his friends. Ask about things when he isn't around. Algerians are not, at all, French. (Whatever that implied to you.) They are north-african and muslum - not central-european and catholic. A huge difference. In both religion and culture and therefor regarding the expactations about family and family structure, heriarcy and respect. You might have found a very...westenerd man, or he is just courting you the best he can. And succeding.
