Hillywilly
We are a British family currently living in france looking to relocate to Thailand in the summer. We have had SO much conflicting advice regarding our visa plans that it's really confusing and stressful at the moment We have a school place reserved for our 8 year old daughter and with that an ED visa for her. Now as we don't have a spare £20,000 to put in the bank I can't afford to apply for a guardian visa. I'm planning to arrive on a 60 day tourist visa (+30 day extension ) then when that is due to run out I want to apply for a language course and get myself on an ED visa and learn some Thai Really I just want to make sure this is legal. Is it ok for my daughter to be at school on an ED visa without a parent being on a guardian visa or is it a requirement for 1 parent to have one? I've tried searching for this advice for weeks and I still can't find a definitive answer. Obviously this is a HUGE issue as it will determine if we can actually come here or not. Any advice is really appreciated, thanks
Mario2008
Should be no problem. The rules don't state that a parent must be present and you will be in Thailand, only on another title.
