|Hi all, my wife's Daughter will be travelling to the UK with her Aunt & we need to write a letter of consent for her to show at the check in, border control etc. Do we need to get this notarised?

Many Thanks

Does the child have an "unaccompanied" visa, or a visa which notes that she is traveling with the aunt ? If it is the latter, then a short letter saying that the named adult is traveling too, and the child's mother can be contacted on............. ( whatever number) in the event of any problem. If the child holds an "unaccompanied" visa, then I would provide a more detailed letter. Either way, the letters don't have to be notarised, but they should include contact details of the mother, and the guardian in Thailand.
