As much as I admire Lucas for winning over his doubters in recent years I don't think he's good enough to fit in with Rogers' system. I wouldn't have minded if he stayed on tbh as we will be playing more games next season. If he Reina and Johnson goes that's probably 250k p/w off the wage bill alone. I would rather we fill that spot with someone young and hungry with ability/potential.

different positions and roles. we do need someone who can rotate with gerrard though so i would imagine lucas would have to be replaced by another body. we need a significantly bigger squad next season.

At the moment. Rafa wants to make the deal permanent from what I've heard.
