On the plus point for Liverpool fans, Suarez certainly won't be going to Real Madrid or Barcelona in the summer.

That is a plus point unless other aspects of his lunacy start to surface...

back in the cone of shame you go you mad idiot.

Ha ! Ha ! Perfect and hilarious. Amazing that such a tremendous footballer can also be mad as a hatter.

Unbelievable! I just hope they don't change the rules to get him banned at club level too. back to the councilor for Louis I think

it would be a precedent that potentially has too big an impact on clubs, could be massive from a commercial point of view....they won't...they can't

Suarez needs to leave Liverpool and England where the press continue to hound him and make a new start.

The rags will never leave him alone.

Like his agent said, he's done it in the Prem, nothing left to prove.

Will he go to Spain, doubt if he'll go to Italy, maybe go to South America where he's not seen as a villain?

The Italians are a canny lot. All sorts going on throughout the match.

If Suarez leaves the EPL, suits me fine. Makes it easier for Chelsea.

As I posted last night, what a disappointing end to our Group Stage with both final games being poor and flawed.

Let's hope round 2 of the World Cup is about proper football and joy.

The only conceivable way Liverpool would have sold him was for absolute top dollar which neither Madrid or Barca will pay now. He'll probably stay put, and as he continues to score great goals excuses will again be made for him by fans and round we go again. The fact that he doesn't seem embarrassed by his behavior is just another confirmation of his lunacy.

I wonder, does he wear a gum shield and if not, should he be made to?

I think he'll leave.

He already said before the WC he was fed up in this country because of the press.

What the big Spanish clubs are thinking, who knows.

I guess they can find similar talent without the drawbacks.

Might stay exactly as you suggest carmine. But there will always be angst, cos now the reformed boy has gone backwards.

Rodgers must be well p***ed off.

I understand where you are coming from sumrit, but unfortunately football is to far down the line as a business

You have to wonder what his Liverpool mates think of Suarez. A humongous asset to the club and improves their chances of success immeasurably, but blimey what a lunatic.

I do think there will be a decent chance he will move on. The biting incident maybe part of it, but his comments about the English press maybe more telling. Add in his obvious complete inability to take any responsibility for his actions, so start anew someplace where he feels everybody is not against him (silly as that might be).

Gum shield? He needs a muzzle, just like a misbehaving uncontrollable dog!

Anyway.

Like I just posted on the Chelsea thread.

Good Luck Liverpool going forward. We need to get some joy back in this football thing.

Roy Hodgson is dead meat and I can fully understand Liverpool's reservations about him.

History at Club level.

Let's have a bldy good EPL starting August.

Such a difficult one regarding prize asset or toxic asset.

i think the English press comments this time around where directed at "The Scum" back page before the England match.

He mentioned in an interview only a week ago about in the future not be able to explain to his kids the biting incidents, then this.

There has to be a serious chemical imbalance for this to recur again, one time a moment of madness, beyond that proper mental.

Apparently he's really liked, one of the most committed in training and off the field is supposedley a really nice fella. It must be something to do with this winning mentality that the red mist just comes down.

Following my feelings of utter disbelief last night, I actually feel sorry for him in the cold light of day.

Once a biter, always a biter. I just feel so sorry for Brendan Rodgers, he must be climbing the walls, not to mention the Liverpool squad.

I may be a softie, but I would give Luis a bit of slack.

Here's why:

Player of the Year with Liverpool last season, no trouble, brilliant.

Coming in to the World cup all the baggage from before is dredged up by the gutter press.

The Italians knew exactly how to get to him. They are not innocents.

Luis is a creative player, gifted, hot headed. Sometimes it comes with flaws. He's not run of the mill.

Crucial World Cup game it all comes to a head.

Like mrbojangles says, he's popular with his team players, and by all accounts not a bad lad.

Zidane got a 3 match ban for a head butt.

Luis will get more.

Only solution I see is for Rodgers to use all his skills and resources to get him back on track.

If that is not possible, and it's a big ask for both Brendan and Luis, I think he needs to make fresh start somewhere he can be happy.

I for one am not going to get on the bandwagon and beat the sh1t out of him.

Good Luck.

Nice try but no, he doesn't deserve to be cut any slack. Remember too, its a third time offence. But <deleted>, running around biting players!!! The bloke behaves like a tool, can't be trusted, he's the most important player in that side and he's let down his team, his manager and his country. I also feel very sorry for Brendon Rodgers.

I can't deny i really enjoy watching him play, but he's just mental.

Seriously though mrbojangles, what would you do if he was a City player?

Fair enough, carmine. It's a tricky one.

Its only tricky because as of this last couple of weeks he's probably the best player in the world and one thing is for sure, Sepp Blatter will not want to ban one of the stars of the world cup. Thats aside of the fact that without him, Uruguay might swell pack up and go home.

Absolutely true I guess carmine.

But I'd have to say, if Chelsea said they were going to buy him, I wouldn't object.

Maybe I'm mental too.

It's a difficult one I know P45 but at least Liverpool acted immediately the last time whilst the FA did their inquiry. That is the minimum I would expect if he was a City player and Uraguay should take a leaf from their book and do the same whilst they await the FIFA decision.

The thing is with Suarez is it's not the only time he's been in trouble i.e. the Evra incident. As good as he is, he is becoming a liability for Liverpool and Liverpool will carry on going long after Suarez has departed, whether that be now or later. If I were Liverpool I'd be looking to get as much dosh for him as possible and replace him with someone who hasn't got this baggage.

Someone asked me about Toure the other day with the birthday issue. Again, as good as he is, I'd let him go if he wants to go. City are bigger than Toure and I will still be supporting them when he's long gone.

Toure's another difficult case.

( Side issue not arguing: seems like it was more than the cake though? Yaya wanted to stay with his sick brother and not go to Abu Dhabi. I only read that today. Points above well taken).

I don't think he will return to play for Liverpool

I think someone will buy him. despite this mental condition.

If suspended from International's for a long time, it could be a plus for the purchaser.
