waza
http://www.youtube.com/embed/Li0no7O9zmEJudges are suppose to be the some of the smartest people in any country They know the rule of law and they make ans amend other rules of law But in Thailand you make the wrong decision and red shirt hooligans will try to force you out .... what a great country .... democracy in action Or they are caught on mic being anything but smart and morally perfect and its brushed under the carpet. And you of course deliberately forget to mention that there have been many court decisions of 'benefit' to the paymaster / cronies / reds etc., which were dubious. The initial case against the paymaster the most dubious of all. The laughable close to home massive tax avoidance case another example. Case well proven, conviction recorded, plaintiff bailed, appeals and then case dismissed on a minor silly technicality which leaves lawyers etc., scratching their heads. I am not questioning there impartiality, I am making the point that I don't see why everyone is suddenly insinuating that the court is the paragon of virtue who will stop the Shin Clan from taking over Thailand and they are on a crusade to do the right thing. They are as bent as the politicians. And any decision they take will be for their benefit not the countries. They might not be, "the paragon of virtue' but they do seem to be the last agency who is independent enough to question wether the PTP government is acting in accord with at least one level of law. Thailand needs more accountability and transparency not less. Edited April 29, 2013 by waza
indyuk
Judges are suppose to be the some of the smartest people in any country They know the rule of law and they make ans amend other rules of law But in Thailand you make the wrong decision and red shirt hooligans will try to force you out .... what a great country .... democracy in action This is slightly irrational comming from a westerner who knows in his heart that if the Powers of the court suceed in politicising an issue of the people then democracy is dead in the land. For with a single judicial swipe neither the judiciary or the polititions can pursue their legitimate mandate(s) credibally. Accordingly the justices concerned must step aside to honour their mandate whiich is their committment to the people.
Robby nz
I agree The court is as corrupt as any other branch of government. You might let us in on what you base that on?

What if a politician receives the majority vote, becomes PM and then decides that death squads are ok, draws up a death list of people to be killed and calls those on the list drug dealers, is that democratic? It certainly wouldn't be legal
