Mental Stability Certificate/check For Purpose Of Adoption

Featured Replies

Dear all,

I was hoping that someone could help me. I'm in the process of adopting my nephew in-law and one of the requirements is that I get a "Medical certificate verifying good physical health, mental stability".

At the department of social welfare the social worker handling my case stated that the mental stability part/requirement must be given by a psychiatrist.

Last week I tried to get it from Rangsit General Hospital. I called ahead and went on a day that the psychiatrist was in. When it was my turn she came out of her room and said that she can't do today as she has many patients to see and the test is between 30 mins to an hour. So I booked to come back on the 2nd of May. Later that evening I received an sms message saying; "Sorry, I cannot give you medical certificate w/o psycho analysis as required by specialist please see other hospital sorry for inconvenient. angry.png

Has anyone ever done one of these? If so, how much and where? I'm in Northern Bangkok so preferably somewhere here?

Thanks

Mongkot Wattama has psychiatrists, as does Paolo Memorial in Saphan Kwai. What you're being asked to do is a joke.
